 MASTERCLASS RICHARD JOBSON
The Scottish producer, screenwriter and director Richard Jobson explores the possibilities and applications of digital cinema through tips and practical examples. Before noon, he goes more deeply into the possibilities of digital cinema. Jobson explains some basic principles and demonstrates the use of certain hard- and software. He illustrates everything by means of his own work, for example how he created a high production value with a limited budget, or how he used cell phones to make short films for Playstation. The afternoon will be even more practical. Jobson will start working with actors to explain his view even more clearly. The main focus is the importance of thinking visually while creating a film, and how to avoid to rest on dialogues too much.

SCREENWRITERS MEET DIRECTORS
Do you have the ambition to write a short film and are you looking for a director? Or are you a director looking for a great script? The screenwriter’s guild offers screenwriters the possibility to meet (student) directors and producers of short films and vice versa during a unique “speed date” at the International Short Film Festival Leuven. During the speed date, every screenwriter has 5 minutes to present his idea to potential directors and/or producers. The speed date is preceded by a lecture about how to write the script for a short film successfully.
